“When I was younger I didn’t feel great about myself, personally, and I didn’t take pride in how I looked and that sort of translated into me not really caring about fashion. I would wear a lot of sweatpants, wear a lot of hoodies. And then I remember in high school one day I just woke up and I was like ‘You know what? I just love expressing myself through clothes”. It’s a great way to make yourself and others feel good and I just kind of said, ‘F*ck it!’ I made a vow to not buy any black clothes and started wearing things that made me happy, regardless of how they made my body look. That’s how I really found confidence. We live in such a grey city, it’s nice to even just walk down the street and see someone wearing a bright colour. It really just makes my day so I try to do the same.”
